APPLY NOWAscendo Resources is currently seeking a Senior Project Accountant for a full-time, on-site role. Salary range is $100,000 - $130,000.Our client is a well-established, growing general contracting and construction management firm in Manhattan, seeking a Project Accountant to join their construction accounting team. This is a firm known for a collaborative culture and strong employee retention — they're looking for someone who wants to build a long-term career, not just a next stop.
What You'll Do:
- Manage client billing on G702 forms and monthly requisitions
- Review and process PCOs, RFAs, and subcontractor invoices for accuracy
- Calculate retainage per contract terms and schedule timely retainage releases
- Manage and issue the monthly Pencil Requisition
- Verify subcontractor insurance compliance (COIs) and track renewals
- Process subcontractor payments on a progress payment schedule
- Manage purchase orders and ensure accurate system entry throughout
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)2+ years of accounting experience
- Experience with Sage Intacct strongly preferred
- Construction or construction management accounting background a plus
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, fully on-site
Compensation & Benefits:
- $120,000–$150,000 base salary3 weeks PTO (increasing to 4 after 5 years), plus 7 holidays + 2 floating holidays
