TempExperts is partnering with a Tampa construction company to hire a Project Engineer focused on preconstruction and estimating. You’ll work closely with project teams on estimating, bidding, scheduling, documentation and financial processes, from preconstruction through project execution. What you’ll be doing:- Supporting preconstruction and estimating with construction takeoffs and bid preparation
- Soliciting subcontractor bids, following up on outstanding proposals and staying in touch with subs and vendors
- Reviewing and comparing subcontractor proposals for bid leveling and scope reviews
- Helping with project scheduling and coordinating project activities
- Using Procore and Sage for reporting, workflows and project documentation
- Supporting owner billing and subcontractor invoicing
- Keeping project documents, records and reports accurate and organized
- Coordinating information between project, estimating, preconstruction, subcontractor and administrative teams
- Handling day-to-day project coordination and administrative support
- What you bring
- Strong Procore experience, including reporting, workflows and documentation
- Construction preconstruction and estimating experience
- Construction takeoff experience
- Subcontractor solicitation, follow-up and bid leveling
- Project scheduling and coordination
- Owner billing and subcontractor invoicing experience
- Experience with Sage or similar construction accounting or project management software
- Construction document management experience
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- The ability to juggle priorities and communicate clearly with project teams, subs and vendors
