📢 We’re hiring: Telecom MSO / OPS Technician📍 Based in Chicago, IL | Full-time | Approximately 30% travel We’re looking for a hands-on Operations (OPS) Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telecom equipment and network infrastructure in MSO headend and hub facilities.
Key responsibilities:- Perform rack and stack work, including equipment mounting, labeling, cable routing, and cable management.
- Install, clean, inspect, and test MPO fiber connections.
- Install and replace network cards, SFP transceivers, and related components.
- Perform shelf swaps, equipment upgrades, and service restoration.
- Install and maintain equipment connections to -48V DC power systems, following established safety procedures.
- Troubleshoot fiber, equipment, power, and connectivity issues to identify root causes and restore service.
- Coordinate maintenance and troubleshooting with network operations and field teams.
- Maintain accurate installation records, test results, and service documentation.
- Travel approximately 30% to support installation and maintenance activities.
What we’re looking for:- Experience in telecom operations, cable/MSO environments, or network infrastructure support.
- Hands-on experience with MPO fiber installation and testing, network cards, SFPs, and shelf swaps.
- Working knowledge of -48V DC telecom power systems and safe work practices.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and with a team.
