APPLY NOWBusiness Incentives Manager (Tax focused) We are partnered with a national foodservice distribution company is seeking a Manager of Business Economic Incentives to join its Denver-based tax department. This hands-on role owns the company’s multi-state economic development incentive compliance portfolio. You’ll make sure every filing is accurate, timely, and audit-ready, and that the company realizes the full value of its incentive agreements.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage the multi-state incentive compliance process, including calendars, data requests, recurring filings, contract performance requirements, and approvals
- Prepare and file incentive compliance reports across multiple jurisdictions
- Gather, validate, reconcile, and analyze data needed for compliance and benefit realization
- Maintain the incentive portfolio database and source documentation
- Interpret incentive agreements to identify obligations, deadlines, data needs, and risksPrepare benefit calculations, workpapers, and reconciliations
- Review third-party provider filings and deliverables for accuracy and completeness
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve data gaps and escalate risksPrepare dashboards and leadership updates on compliance status, realized benefits, and upcoming deadlines
- Support compliance audits and jurisdictional inquiries
- What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Law, or a related field 5+ years of experience with state and local business incentives, credits, economic development programs, or related tax compliance
- Hands-on experience preparing and filing multi-state incentive compliance reports
- Working knowledge of property tax and sales/use tax compliance
- Strong project and process management skills
- Clear written communication skills
- Experience working with external consultants and internal stakeholders
- Alteryx and PowerPoint experience preferredCPA and/or CCIP a plus
Compensation & Benefits:
$100,000–$125,000 base plus annual bonus. Day 1 health benefits, 401(k) with company match, employee stock purchase plan, education assistance, and paid time off. Location Denver Tech Center
