The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a superior bedside manner and professional demeanor, a strong “patient first” approach, a desire to be part of a team and have excellent hand/eye coordination.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Warm Welcome: The intake specialist warmly greets the patient, helping them feel at ease. They provide an overview of what the patient can expect during their visit and answer any initial questions.
Patient History and Background: The specialist confirms the patient's reported medical history, lifestyle, and previous experiences with hair loss treatments, aiming to understand underlying factors and individual needs.
Hair Analysis & Measurements: The intake specialist will be trained to use specialized tools to assess the patient’s hair density and thickness. This helps establish a baseline for tracking progress over time. Discussing Goals and Concerns: The intake specialist will ask the patient about their hair goals, concerns, fostering open communication and help set realistic treatment expectations.
Documentation and Next Steps: The intake specialist documents the findings and prepares a report for the provider. They may also outline next steps, such as follow-up appointments, and provide information on treatment options or products that can support the patient’s hair wellness journey.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma
Experience in a patient support capacity dealing with upscale clientele with an emphasis on exceptional customer service is preferred. Excellent attention to detail and ability to anticipate patient needs and respond compassionately and professionally. Polished customer service skills with pleasant speaking voice and clear enunciation in English. Exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills. Must have a polished professional image and deportment with a positive service-oriented attitude at all times. Must be a proactive team player and willing to learn information and skills. Must be able to handle sensitive medical information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
This opportunity includes a competitive pay rate and robust benefits package (health insurance plan with the Practice paying 80% of the cost of single coverage; paid vacation and holidays; paid legal assistance program, and a retirement plan that includes a contribution from the Practice each year).
