Placing traffic control devices such as cones, drums, barricades, vertical panels, and barriers to guide traffic safely through or around a work area. Lane closures and merges using proper tapers and channelization devices to move traffic safely from one lane to another. Flagging operations, where trained flaggers use STOP/SLOW paddles and hand signals to control one-way traffic through construction zones. Pedestrian and worker protection through temporary walkways, barriers, and safety measures that separate the public from work activities.
