Supporting the retail real estate strategy, the full-time Remote Director, Senior Corporate Counsel - Real Estate will manage legal transactions related to new store development, lease negotiations, and property management while providing strategic counsel to internal teams.
Key responsibilities:
Draft, negotiate, and oversee documentation for retail real estate transactions, including leases and construction contracts
Provide legal counsel to internal clients, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and advising on real estate matters
Manage third-party relationships and oversee outside counsel in real estate transaction documentation and litigation supportRequired qualifications: Advanced degree and Juris Doctor (JD)
8+ years of legal experience, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department
5-7 years of experience specifically in commercial retail real estate transactions
Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal matters related to real estate
Experience managing outside counsel and legal budgets
