Furniture Finishing And Touch Up SpecialistThe Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Furniture finishing and touch up specialist to join the only Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. This role involves inspecting and carrying out repairs of all areas within the hotel, executing standard procedures. Responsibilities include completing assigned tasks, projects or programs as instructed by management, ensuring logs and records are kept up to date, responding to maintenance requests from guests or senior management, and ensuring all work requests are recorded and actions taken. The specialist must also display knowledge in various categories including fire life, health, safety, air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, laundry, spa, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement, and thorough cleanup of the painting or repair area. The position requires 5+ years of hands-on experience working around mechanical, electrical, plumbing, kitchen, and finishing. High school or equivalent education is required, and the ability to obtain and/or maintain any required licenses, certificates or permits is preferred. Previous hotel experience, especially luxury or Forbes experience, is preferred. Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays, is required. Physical demands include the ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and prolonged extended periods of standing.
