Stamping Set-Up OperatorG & W Products is a recognized leader in contract metal manufacturing and fabrication. Founded in 1968, our expertise covers a wide range of services including metal stamping, laser cutting, fabrication, manual and robotic welding, tool and die work, powder coating, and assembly. Our modern facilities encompass 190,000 square feet of manufacturing space across three locations in Fairfield, OH. Position Summary:
The Stamping Set-Up Operator is responsible for setting up stamping presses and feeder systems, operating equipment safely and effectively, and supporting a positive, team-oriented work environment. This role also provides operators with clear instruction on safe press operation and dies safety while performing all required stamping duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up stamping presses and feeder systems for safe, efficient production.
Operate stamping equipment in accordance with established safety and operating procedures.
Instruct operators on safe press operation and die safety.
Perform all stamping operator duties as needed.
Promote teamwork and maintain a positive, can-do attitude.
Identify and communicate opportunities to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required knowledge of prior set up and stamping press operator experience.
At least 2+ years of working knowledge of press operation, die safety, and production procedures.
Ability to follow instructions, communicate clearly, and train operators on safe work practices.
Strong attention to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Dependable, team-oriented approach with a willingness to support production needs.
