Locum OrthodontistRSMC is seeking a Locum Orthodontist for an 8–12-week assignment with the client. This role focuses on high-quality orthodontic care for children, with strong team support and predictable patient flow. Position Highlights8–12-week locum contract starting mid-January4-day workweek (consistent schedule) Daily rate: $1,400–$1,800/day Local Maryland providers only (travel/lodging not provided) Mileage reimbursement Patient load: 50–60 total patients/day for 3 dentists Expected: 1–2 ortho starts per day
Key Responsibilities:- Provide diagnosis and comprehensive orthodontic treatment plans
- Deliver high-quality orthodontic care using accepted clinical techniques
- Support children and their parents in developing strong oral health habits
- Lead and collaborate with an engaged orthodontic clinical team
- Refer patients to dental specialists when appropriate
- Maintain a clean, safe, and patient-focused environment
- Ensure full compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, Dental Board, and all regulatory standards
Requirements:- Passion for improving children's oral health
- Active Maryland dental license (pending accepted if close to issuance)
- Board-eligible or certified by the American Board of Orthodontics (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills and professional communication
- Organized and clinically knowledgeable in orthodontics
- Ability to commit to 4 days/week for the full 8–12 week duration
