Forklift Operator / Shipping & Receiving Associate We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our team for a solar panel distribution project. This position requires operating an 8,000 lb. sit-down forklift with 6-foot forks to safely handle and move solar panel crates.
Position Details: Temporary full-time project-based assignment
Responsibilities:- Safely unload, move, and stage 8-foot-long crates of solar panels
- Operate an 8,000 lb. sit-down forklift with precision and care
- Handle fragile glass solar panels using slow, controlled movements
- Perform shipping and receiving duties
- Scan and track inventory using handheld scanning devices
- Maintain accurate records and communicate through email
- Follow all safety procedures and warehouse protocols
Requirements:- Proven experience operating an 8,000 lb. sit-down forklift
- Ability to handle oversized and fragile materials safely
- Experience with shipping and receiving processes
- Comfortable using scan guns/handheld inventory devices
- Basic computer skills, including email communication
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience handling solar panels, glass products, or other fragile materials
- Previous warehouse or distribution center experience
- The ideal candidate understands that safety and precision are more important than speed. Solar panels are fragile, and careful handling is essential to success in this role.
- Must be able to pass a background and drug test
