Position Overview: The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care, focusing on telemetry and medical/surgical needs. The role includes monitoring patients, interpreting telemetry strips, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough assessments of patient conditions and needs. Administer medications and treatments according to protocols and standards. Monitor telemetry readings and interpret diagnostic data. Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans. Provide patient and family education concerning health management and disease prevention. Float to other units as necessary to meet patient care needs.

Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a telemetry or medical/surgical setting. Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required. Proficiency in reading and interpreting basic telemetry strips. Experience with conditions such as CHF, COVID, respiratory issues, GI complications, diabetes, and total joint replacements is preferred. Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records is recommended. Schedule and ShiftThis position requires working 12-hour night shifts with a guaranteed 36 hours per week. The schedule includes every other weekend and holiday commitments, with self-scheduling subject to manager approval. Orientation will consist of one shift on the unit. Unit Information49 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5. Nurse aides are present, with a ratio of 1:10-15. Common equipment includes BiPap, CPAP, and other respiratory therapies.
