Radiologic Technologist

Hartford Healthcare seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging for diverse patient populations. In this role, you will position patients, operate digital imaging equipment, and follow strict radiation safety and infection-control protocols. You’ll collaborate closely with physicians and nurses, verify orders, document in the EHR, and ensure accurate PACS image management. Perform high-quality diagnostic radiologic exams according to physician orders and protocols Position and prepare patients while explaining procedures and ensuring comfort and safety Operate and troubleshoot radiology equipment, including digital and PACS systems Apply radiation safety principles and follow regulatory and Hartford Healthcare standards Verify patient identity, review orders, and document exams accurately in the EHR Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to support timely diagnosis and treatment Assess image quality and repeat exams when necessary to meet diagnostic standards Maintain exam rooms, equipment cleanliness, and infection-control practices Assist with contrast procedures under appropriate supervision and guidelines Participate in ongoing training, quality improvement, and professional development activities Diagnostic radiography Patient positioning Radiology equipment operation Radiation safety and protection PACS/RIS use Electronic health records (EHR) Image quality assessment Contrast administration support Infection control procedures Basic patient care and monitoring Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k ARRT (R) certification State of Connecticut radiologic technologist license BLS/CPR certification Compliance with radiation safety standards
