Job Description: Join a Freight Company That Grew 10X in One Year
Location: Chicago / Lisle, IL
Company: Amnex Solutions Corp
Division: OTR & Drayage
Employment Type: Full-TimeAbout Amnex Solutions
Amnex Solutions Corp is not a traditional freight brokerage. We are a rapidly growing transportation and logistics company specializing in OTR, drayage, and complex transportation solutions nationwide — and we have grown 10X over the last year. Our team moves fast, works hard, solves problems, and takes ownership. We have built a culture around people who would rather figure out how to make something happen than explain why it can't be done. Our customers rely on us for much more than simply finding a truck. They come to Amnex when they need solutions — whether that means sourcing capacity, developing a new lane, or designing an entirely new transportation strategy. We operate with an entrepreneurial mindset, and we want people who are excited by growth rather than intimidated by it. If you're looking for a place where you can build a serious book of business, make an impact, and grow alongside the company, you should talk to us.
The Opportunity:
We are looking for an experienced Freight Sales Representative who knows how to hunt for business, build relationships, and turn opportunities into long-term customers.
You will have ownership over your business from the beginning — prospecting, quoting, developing lanes, sourcing carriers, managing shipments, and growing the account.
But there's an important difference:
- As your book grows, Amnex will grow around you.
- If you become successful enough that managing operations starts taking time away from selling, we will add operational and carrier coverage support around your business so you can continue building.
- We want our best salespeople spending more time growing accounts — not getting buried under the success they created.
- What You'll DoBuild Your Own Book of Business
- Prospect and develop new shipper relationships across OTR, drayage, and related transportation services.
- Identify opportunities through phone, email, networking, referrals, and creative outreach.
- Develop relationships with logistics managers, supply chain teams, manufacturers, importers, exporters, distributors, and other shippers.
- Build lane strategies and pricing models designed to win profitable, repeatable freight.
- Turn individual shipments into long-term customer relationships.
Own the Freight:
You won't simply hand a customer off once the sale is made.
You will understand the freight you're selling and make sure it gets executed correctly.
Quote and price shipments.
Source and negotiate with carriers.
Book and manage loads.
Track freight proactively.
Solve problems before customers have to ask.
Communicate shipment updates and exceptions.
Ensure documentation and billing are completed correctly.
Build Carrier & Customer Relationships:
Develop dependable carrier relationships across your core lanes.
Utilize RMIS, Carrier411, load boards, TMS technology, and Amnex's internal carrier network.
Maintain strong communication with customers and carriers.
Become the person your customers call when they need something handled.
Help Build the Company:
We're still growing — quickly.
That means strong performers have an opportunity to influence how Amnex operates.
You may work directly with company leadership on:
- New customer strategies
- Large transportation projects
- Pricing models
- Carrier development
- AutomationTechnologyOperational improvements
- New service offerings
- We are looking for people who want to build, not just occupy a seat.
- Who We're Looking ForYou should have:2+ years of freight brokerage, transportation sales, logistics, or account management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to prospect and develop new customer relationships.
- Experience managing freight in a cradle-to-grave environment.
- Strong knowledge of OTR truckload, intermodal, drayage, or port operations.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Familiarity with TMS platforms, load boards, CRM systems, and carrier-vetting tools.
- Experience with platforms such as Turvo, DAT, Truckstop, RMIS, or Carrier411 is a plus.
- The ability to operate independently without needing someone constantly telling you what to do next.
- Most importantly, we're looking for someone with drive.
- Someone who follows up.
- Someone who keeps prospecting after a good month.
- Someone who sees a difficult transportation problem and thinks, "I can figure this out."This Role Probably Isn't for Everyone
- If you're looking for a position where you inherit a comfortable book of business and simply maintain it, this probably isn't the right opportunity.
- If you're competitive, entrepreneurial, relationship-driven, and excited by the idea of building something substantial inside a rapidly growing company, you'll fit in well here.
- Our culture has energy.
- We work hard. We move quickly. We joke around. We solve problems. And when someone on the team starts winning, we put resources behind them so they can win bigger.

- Uncapped commission
- Performance bonuses and incentive opportunities
- Health benefits 401(k)
- Operational and carrier-support resources as your book grows

- Your Ceiling Here Is Not a Job Title.
- Amnex grew approximately 10X in the last year, and we're building for the next stage now.
- We're looking for ambitious freight professionals who want their career trajectory to match the trajectory of the company.
- If you're ready to build a serious book of business and want the resources of a growing logistics company behind you, we want to hear from you.
