Lighting Designer

The duties and responsibilities of a Lighting Designer include but are not limited to: Evaluate lighting systems, products, components, and applications by designing and applying lighting knowledge. Have the ability to meet fast-paced deadlines while maintaining quality design. Reviews the development of designs for compliance with applicable codes, adopted engineering standards, and good engineering practices. Cross-discipline coordination of MEPT components within Revit. Facilitate production of construction documents (drawing and specifications) for new buildings, renovations, and additions to existing facilities. Communicating effectively with clients and internal team members in the design and specification development of lighting and lighting control systems. Building and maintaining positive client relationships. Conduct field surveys to determine existing project conditions. Conduct construction site visits to ensure systems are installed per drawings and specifications. Respond to contractor RFIs and review project shop drawings/submittals. Qualifications and Education Requirements Two or four-year accredited program in Architectural Engineering, Interior Design or related field of study Five or more years of related experience in the building design industry Must possess a valid driver’s license
