Nurse Sonographer- Southwest

Position Type: Full-Time Education Level: College Preferred Category: NurseResponsible for nursing functions, providing patient care, and performing limited medical obstetrical ultrasounds at Prestonwood Pregnancy Center – Southwest ("PPC – SW").

Responsibilities: Work with clinic staff and volunteers to coordinate patient flowPerform limited medical screening and pregnancy testsPerform limited obstetrical ultrasounds in accordance with delegated ordersComplete initial patient assessmentsAssist with patient/family education and instruct patients as directedMaintain patient documentation according to clinic protocolDocument and report test resultsAssist with follow up of patient's medical conditions and test resultsCollect and run lab testsIncorporate principals of safety in all clinical operationsDemonstrate safe use of equipment related to patient careMaintain infection control measures with all patient contactOther duties as assignedRequirements: Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of a Bible believing and preaching ministryPro-life in word and pro-love in actionPossess and maintain current RN licensePossess or be willing to obtain sonography trainingComply with state and professional licensing and continuing education requirementsExcellent communication skills, bilingual in English and Spanish a plusExperience working with volunteers a plusCommitment to continued professional development especially in the areas of obstetrics, gynecology and women's health issuesIntermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office productsAbility to work a Monday-Friday schedule with flexibility to include approximately two evenings per week, one Saturday per month, and PPC scheduled eventsPossess current Texas driver license, personal vehicle insurance and a clear driving record for clearance to drive PPC mobile unit as neededAbility to operate the mobile sonogram unit and cover shifts at the Richardson and Fort Worth locations as neededAble to perform physical activities that require moving one's whole body, such as walking, stooping, lifting, pushing/pulling a cart, and use of stairs, and ability to lift up to 10 lbs. without assistance
