Reporting To: Executive Leadership (COO / Managing Partners)
AboutWe have partnered with an established alternative commercial finance brokerage and hybrid funder located in Times Square, NYC. They currently fund $3M to $5M+ per month, supported by an extensive proprietary inbound lead-generation engine generating 60+ qualified, complete inbound submissions per day (complete applications and bank statements ready to price). Our client does not have a lead problem, a CRM problem, or a capital problem. Tehy enjoy massive deal volume on the table and need a fierce, high-energy sales leader on the floor every day to command the room, drive speed-to-lead, teach objection handling, and turn approved offers into funded deals.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a relentless, in-the-trenches Head of Sales to lead and energize a 14+ person 360 brokerage floor and mentor 3 Team Leads. This is not a sterile, behind-a-desk KPI spreadsheet role. We are seeking a true floor general: someone with high voltage, immense drive, and deep MCA/commercial lending closing instincts who commands respect, jumps into three-way closing calls, and refuses to let money walk out the door.
Key Responsibilities:
Own & Energize the Sales Floor: Set the daily tempo from morning huddle to end-of-day wrap-up. Bring relentless energy, urgency, and competitiveness to a 14+ broker floor (expanding to 20+).Drive Speed-to-Lead & Pipeline Execution: Enforce strict adherence to a 5-minute lead outreach protocol, multi-touch cadences (10+ touches in 24 hours), and pipeline discipline within Salesforce.
Hands-on Deal Closing (Live TTOs): Step in on live calls and objections with brokers to structure terms, reframe factor rates and cost of capital, and close approvals fast before competitors or syndicates touch them.
Coaching & Objection Handling: Train newer brokers on the realities of merchant psychology—turning merchant hesitations into funded capital, upselling deal sizes, and maximizing gross margin points (averaging 10–12%).Team Lead Development: Directly mentor and direct 3 floor Team Leads to scale execution, manage round-robin distribution, and prevent lead hoarding.
Conversion Optimization: Drive approval-to-fund ratio from the current 24% baseline toward 35%+, capitalizing on warm, inbound submissions.
What We Are Looking For:
4+ Years in Alternative Finance / MCA: Must deeply understand merchant cash advances, business loans, factoring, or high-velocity commercial finance (brokerage floor experience strongly preferred).Proven Closer Mentality: You must have closed 6- and 7-figure deals yourself and know how to teach closing tactics, overcome price resistance, and manage multiple funder offers.
Floor General Leadership: High emotional intelligence paired with commanding vocal presence. You lead from the front, not from an ivory tower.
Tech & Workflow Literacy: Comfortable utilizing sophisticated CRM workflows (Salesforce), automated distribution rules, and speed-to-lead monitoring.
Work Ethic & Presence: First in, last out mentality. Committed to being on-site in Times Square office Monday through Friday.
Compensation & Upside:
Substantial Six-Figure Base Salary tailored to pedigree and track record. Floor-Wide Revenue Overrides: Direct financial participation across all funded volume generated by the floor. Uncapped Upside: Realistic first-year earnings of $400,000 to $600,000+, with top performers scaling even higher.
