SCHEDULE: 2026-2027 School Year
COMPENSATION: $16.75 - $20.64
POSTING DATE: September 2026
DEADLINE: Until Filled
At Clarenceville School District, we provide students with a vibrant learning experience in a welcoming environment, and our teachers rely on paraprofessionals to bring their best to the classroom every day. We're searching for qualified paraprofessionals to join us in delivering high-quality learning and support in our elementary schools.
The ideal candidate has experience in this role and is flexible in adapting to the changing demands of a classroom. This person will work closely with teachers and provide support by working with students individually and in groups. In order to thrive in this role, the paraprofessional must be caring, compassionate, and committed to each student's success.
If you're looking for work that actually matters where you can watch a student grow in real time and know you played a part in it - this is that role. You'll be a steady, familiar presence in the classroom: someone students can count on, and someone teachers can lean on. It's hands-on, relationship-driven work with a direct line to impact - no guessing whether what you do matters.
What You'll Do:
Work directly with classroom teachers to support instruction for individuals and small groups
Help implement lesson plans, learning activities, and behavior support strategies
Provide one-on-one support to students with diverse learning needs, including IEP-supported students
Monitor and document student progress, and communicate observations to the classroom teacher
Assist with classroom management, transitions, and day-to-day operations
Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment for every student
What You'll Need:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree (60+ college credits, official transcripts required per school-district guidelines) or a valid Michigan Paraprofessional Certification
A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their academic and social-emotional growth
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work closely with students, parents, staff and community in a dynamic environment
Successful completion of Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) training, preferred
Ability to attend to personal health care and/or behavioral needs of assigned students while following prescribed behavioral management or instructional programs
School-based or classroom experience preferred, but not required \
Patience, reliability, and a team-first mindset
