Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Job at Community Care Physicians in Dunsbach Ferry

Community Care Physicians is seeking an Ultrasonographer to join our patient-centered, physician-owned multispecialty group in Latham, NY. In this role, you will perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams, ensure accurate image acquisition and documentation, and collaborate closely with physicians and staff to support comprehensive patient care. You’ll work in a supportive, team-based environment focused on quality, safety, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to grow across our extensive network of imaging and outpatient care centers in New York’s Capital Region. Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations following established protocols Prepare patients by explaining procedures and obtaining relevant medical history Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring image quality and patient safety Review, select, and label images for interpretation by radiologists or ordering providers Document findings and complete exam reports accurately in the electronic medical record Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to coordinate patient care Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality assurance standards Assist with scheduling, patient flow, and room turnover as needed Diagnostic medical sonography Abdominal ultrasound OB/GYN ultrasound Vascular ultrasound Pediatric ultrasound basics Image optimization and quality control PACS and RIS/EMR documentation Patient positioning and preparation Ultrasound equipment operation and troubleshooting Infection control and safety protocols Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent ARDMS certification Additional ARDMS credentials (e.g., RVT, OB/GYN) preferred Current BLS certification
