APPLY NOWSnow Removal Operations Manager Long Island, NY | Senior LevelHave you run a snow operation at 3 a.m. with 40 sites open, two trucks down, and a client calling? Have you built the plan, not just followed it? Have you managed crews who'd rather be anywhere else — and kept them moving? We're looking for you. The job We run a commercial snow removal operation that's grown faster than our systems. We need a senior operator to take the wheel this winter, get the crews and fleet storm-ready, and build the playbooks that make it run right every time — not just when the right person happens to be awake. What you'll own The whole snow operation: sites, crews, subs, equipment, storm response Site plans, storm procedures, pre-season checklists, post-storm reviews Crew training and drills before the first flake Fleet readiness — plows, loaders, salters, trucks, parts, maintenance Salt and materials: buying, staging, tracking Live storm command: dispatch, routing, communication, documentation Client sites and service levels, with records that hold up on a slip-and-fall
Who you are:
- 8+ years in snow and ice, with real time running it — ops manager, GM, superintendent, or owner
- Public works, highway department, sanitation, airport, or private contractor background all welcome
- You've built procedures from scratch and trained people to follow them
- You know fleet — uptime, maintenance, what breaks and why
- Comfortable leading at 2 a.m. in a storm and sitting with the owner the next morning
- Commercial contracts, sub management, liability documentation — you've been there
Nice to have:
- SIMA certification (CSP/ASM), routing software, brine programs
- What you get
- Competitive base
- Performance bonus tied to documented systems and a trained team
- The owner's backing to build it your way
- If you've been the one everyone calls when it starts snowing, let's talk.
- This role can be hired for the season or for the year.
- High compensation, regardless.
