Marine Cargo Specialist

Duties: Help Review preliminary ammunition stowage plans to maintain cargo compatibility and port sequence. Maintain cargo operation records to support accurate mission reporting. Monitor stevedore contractor operations to ensure compliance with stowage plans and contract requirements. Investigate contractor performance issues to resolve cargo-handling problems. Adjust ammunition stowage plans to preserve vessel trim and stability. Coordinate ammunition transfers to support vessel, rail, and truck movement. Maintain the master planning worksheet to track ammunition inventory and terminal location. Prepare operational reports to document contractor performance and ammunition cargo activity. Inspect vessel cargo spaces to verify loading requirements before ammunition operations. Inspect ammunition cargo operations to verify segregation, stowage, and discharge requirements.
