The client is a non-collecting arts organization focused on contemporary art programming and emerging, historically underrecognized voices. Its exhibition and public programming emphasize global scope, commissioning of new works, and a focus on living artists, with an approach designed to encourage visitors to explore ideas through art. The client also operates signature large-scale initiatives, including a triennial that is expected to launch its sixth edition in winter 2027. The client’s work extends into the intersection of art and technology, supported through affiliate and initiative programs that champion born-digital art and culture through commissions, discussions, preservation, and technology initiatives. It fosters creative practitioners through an incubator-style program with a yearlong structure aimed at advancing exploration at the intersection of art, design, and technology. In addition, the client supports public access to primary source materials through a digital archive that includes content from exhibitions, publications, and programs. The client operates with a collaborative, democratic board culture and values relationships within its leadership and governance. It maintains an internationally oriented leadership and community, supported by partnerships with organizations around the world that strengthen its global profile. The organization’s senior leadership team includes long-tenured members and recurring leaders who return after time elsewhere, with additional councils that contribute to extending the organization’s mission-driven engagement.
