APPLY NOWDirector of Operations – Multi-Site Manufacturing We are seeking a Director of Operations to lead performance across multiple manufacturing sites for a packaging manufacturer that is expanding. This role is accountable for safety, quality, delivery, and cost across a multi-plant footprint and works closely with executive leadership and customers to support growth and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and optimize operations across multiple manufacturing facilities
- Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity, scrap reduction, and on-time delivery
- Establish KPIs, operating cadence, and standardized best practices across sites
- Lead, develop, and align Plant Managers and site leadership teams
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Finance
- Work directly with key customers to support service levels, capacity planning, and issue resolution
- Participate in customer meetings, audits, and plant visits as needed
- Support capital planning, equipment investments, and capacity expansions
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, including multi-site responsibility
- Experience in packaging manufacturing including rigid packaging and flexible packaging, experience with plastic extrusion, injection molding, blow molding also a plusB2B (business-to-business) manufacturing experience required
- Proven ability to drive operational improvements across multiple sites
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer-facing skills
