Lead the opening of something exceptional. We are seeking an experienced and driven General Manager to lead the successful opening and ongoing operations of a dual-branded Fairfield Inn & TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Waveland, Mississippi. This is a unique opportunity to take full ownership of a new hotel from pre-opening through stabilization—building your team, shaping the culture, and delivering outstanding guest experiences from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of hotel operations, including Rooms, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Sales
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing opening team
- Drive revenue, profitability, and guest satisfaction
- Ensure brand standards and operational excellence across both Marriott flags
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance
- Build strong relationships within the local community and market
- Deliver exceptional guest service and maintain top-tier online reputation scores
Qualifications:
- Previous General Manager experience in a Marriott or comparable branded hotel required
- Dual-brand experience strongly preferred
- Proven success in hotel openings, turnarounds, or high-performance operations
- Strong financial acumen and revenue management understanding
- Leadership style that builds accountability, engagement, and team culture
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
