Civic-minded individuals serve as tour guides for the Michigan Supreme Court Learning Center. Guides lead visitors through interactive exhibits and the Michigan Supreme Court courtroom. Tours last 60-90 min and are scheduled Mon-Fri, 9am to 4pm. The Center is a popular stop on the "Lansing trip" for many schools, so service is primarily during the school year. Background checks and orientation/training sessions are required but prior experience in the legal field or education is not. Most tour groups are grades 3-12, so an interest working with students is important.
