- Aircraft Maintenance Service Writer Duties and Responsibilities
- The Aircraft Maintenance Service Writer translates the customers' needs into work orders for technicians, prepares quotes for customers and bills customers when the work is completed.
- Aircraft Maintenance Service Writers additional duties and responsibilities include and are not limited to:
- Data EntryAssist the Director of Maintenance in processing new Service OrdersAssist the Director of Maintenance with Quoting and Invoicing customers
- Assist the Parts Manager as needed
- Post and issue parts to the shop floor
- Inputs Discrepancies and Corrective action from the Maintenance Discrepancies SheetPost parts to shop orders and distribute parts to technicians on the floor
- Research and establishes pricing for parts and repairs for Maintenance Quotations
- Qualifications for Aircraft Service WriterHigh School diploma, GED, or equivalent2-plus years of experience in a service advisor role strongly preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Word
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Proficient computer key boarding skills
- Customer Service experience
- Valid Real ID Driver's License
- Starting Wage Range: $24.00-25.00/hour
