Rehabilitation Registered Nurse

Encompass Health seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse to deliver specialized nursing care in our inpatient rehabilitation hospital. In this role, you will assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans, administer medications and treatments, and closely monitor patient progress. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support patient-centric rehabilitation, educate patients and families, and ensure safe discharges. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans for rehab patients Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to provider orders and protocols Monitor, document, and report patient status, progress, and changes in condition Collaborate with an interdisciplinary rehab team to coordinate and optimize patient care Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and self-care after discharge Maintain accurate, timely electronic health records and required documentation Uphold infection control, safety, and quality standards in all patient care activities Participate in care conferences, rounds, and discharge planning Support patient mobility, ADLs, and therapy goals to promote functional independence Precept and support peers and new staff as needed Patient assessment and clinical judgment Medication administration and IV therapy Wound care and skin integrity management Rehabilitation nursing techniques and mobility support Care planning and care coordination Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation Vital signs and telemetry monitoring Infection prevention and control practices Patient and family education Interdisciplinary team collaboration Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in practicing state Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred Certification in Rehabilitation Nursing (CRRN) preferred
