Position Overview:
The General Laborer will support daily operations in the manufacturing facility by performing a wide variety of hands-on tasks. This role is essential to maintaining an efficient and safe work environment and requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with the movement, loading, and unloading of raw materials and finished products.
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Support welders, fabricators, and machine operators with daily production tasks.
- Perform general cleaning and maintenance of the shop, work areas, and equipment.
- Handle packaging, labeling, and preparing items for shipping or delivery.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace.
- Assist in basic assembly and production tasks as directed by supervisors.
- Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or quality concerns to management.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and production schedules.
Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, construction, or warehouse environment is a plus.
- Valid driver's license (required).
- Forklift experience (preferred, but not required).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
- Willingness to learn and take on new tasks as needed.
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented. Work Environment
- Manufacturing facility with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
- Requires standing, bending, lifting, and working on feet for extended periods.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided and required.
