Postdoctoral Fellowships in Alcohol Etiology and Treatment
University at Buffalo, The State University of New York
The University at Buffalo has openings for postdoctoral fellows in our NIAAA-funded T32 training program. The program, now in its 26th year, provides specialized pre and post-doctoral training for individuals seeking to pursue a career in alcohol research. The interdisciplinary training program emphasizes two primary areas: (1) etiology and course of alcohol use and misuse, including biological and psychosocial influences, and (2) treatment for alcohol use disorders. Fellows develop and pursue research interests under the supervision of faculty preceptors. Seminars on psychosocial, biological and medical aspects of alcohol use disorders, current alcohol research, grant writing, statistics/research methods, professional issues and career development are an integral part of the training program. Fellows often work with faculty across the University (most commonly in Community Health and Health Behavior, Psychology, Social Work, Pharmacology and Toxicology). More information about the training program can be found here: Alcohol Research Training Program - Alcohol Research Training Program - University at Buffalo and information about the University can be found here: UB at a Glance - University at Buffalo
