Dyeing/Kuster Inspector ClerkThis position is Monday-Friday 3pm-11pm.
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
To detect quality problems while inspecting carpet and to report production through the Shopflex system.
Essential Duties:
Inspect carpet for defects
Obtain shade patch for supervisor to review
Fill out correct information in the computer for each roll and print tickets
Hold rolls and report quality problems to the Supervisor
Report production through Shopflex
Fill out Inspection reports/records
Fill out Department "Stop Cards" for all line stops on carpet
Monitor width and carpet dampness; communicate up the line if issues occur
Determine correct changeover length to be removed and enter it accordingly
Physically measure carpet width once per shop order and record results in Shopflex
Assist in keeping work areas in a clean and orderly
Other Requirements:
Manual dexterity and problem solving abilities
Computer skills
Communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions
Work in normal industrial environment with inherent background noise, dirt, humidity, and temperature variations
The employee works near moving mechanical parts and in precarious places
