Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a Cardiac Telemetry setting. This position involves providing high-quality patient care for adults to geriatrics, focusing on patients with various cardiac diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities: Perform vital sign checks and blood glucose monitoring independently. Provide care for patients with diagnoses including CHF, MI/Chest pain, Dysrhythmias, Hypo-/Hypertension, Pleural effusion, Sepsis, and PE/DVT/vascular issues. Utilize electronic health record systems (Epic) for patient documentation and care coordination. Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team using standardized communication tools (SBAR). Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Participate in patient education and discharge planning.

Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; first-time travelers are welcome. Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (NIH certification preferred). Experience in a telemetry unit is preferred. Ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:4-5 in a fast-paced environment. Work Environment This nursing position is within a telemetry unit featuring 36 patient rooms with an average daily census of 35 patients. The nurse will work to support various cardiac diagnoses and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in delivering patient-centered care. Scheduling and Availability Shifts: Day shift, working three 12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00) per week. Availability to work every other weekend is expected. Maximum 7 days of requested time off (RTO) accepted; spring break blackout dates apply. If assigned during major holidays, working may be required according to holiday policy. Orientation and Compliance All Registered Nurses must complete necessary compliance requirements to commence work on schedule. Orientation is mandatory and the number of non-billable hours is determined by the contract length.
