Account Lead, New York $95-115k
Wiser is an award-winning Employer Branding and Talent agency on a mission to change the way people think about work.
We build employer brands that people want to be part of. We're a home for people who dream big and expect more; an environment where creative and talent attraction campaigns meet to transform employer brands. Our creatives innovate across design, web, film and marketing to capture what makes companies great and our recruitment teams introduce the right people to set those companies apart.
We believe people do their best work when they're in an environment that enables it. That's what we've built at Wiser: a culture where everyone can be real and back themselves, surrounded by high performers who love to take ownership of everything in their zone, regardless of background. Inclusion is at the heart of what we do for our clients and how we're building the world of Wiser.
We've been doing this in the UK for years. Now we're bringing it to New York, and we're looking for someone to help us make our mark.

What's this role all about?
T his is a rare opportunity to join an agency at the very start of its US chapter. As one of our first Account Leads on the ground in New York, you won't just be leading accounts. You'll be helping shape what Wiser looks and feels like in a new market.
You will lead our biggest client relationships end-to-end, working with brilliant creative minds across strategy, design, film and content to deliver exceptional employer brand work. You'll be the senior face of Wiser for your clients, with a Project Manager alongside you for day-to-day delivery. You'll set the rhythm: monthly meetings, quarterly steers, biannual creative workshops and you'll always have a clear eye on where each account can scale.
You also play an active role in building Wiser's profile in the US market: contributing to new business pitches, developing thought leadership, and helping us become a name people know and trust across the industry in the US, as well as back home.
What you'll be doing:
Account Leadership: Working with creative and strategy teams to develop the right approach for each client and ensuring every decision is guided by it. Setting teams up to produce Wiser's best work across all areas of delivery, and inspiring those around you to raise the bar.
Account Development: Owning senior client relationships and clearly communicating the value of Wiser's work. Creating, communicating and delivering effective account plans with the right mix of insight, reporting and regular communication to facilitate growth. Leading pitches, proposals and scoping for additional work. Educating clients on industry trends and Wiser's evolving capabilities.
Project Management: Driving client projects and communicating proactively with stakeholders across multiple levels. Organising key calls, meetings and Quarterly Reviews. Spotting and resolving delivery issues before they become problems, and working to ensure the process feels positive for both clients and teams.
Commercial Management: Ensuring accurate delivery of scope (deliverables and time), maintaining quality and meeting deadlines. Identifying and resolving scope or resourcing issues early. Reporting on commercial performance back to Senior team members and demonstrating how you’ll continue to grow from month to month.
New Business & Growth: Contributing to pitches and proposals with strategic direction. Helping build Wiser's profile in the US through talks, presentations, webinars, blogs and industry events. This is a growth role and you'll have a genuine stake in what we build here.
Who we're looking for
You have 5+ years of experience in a client-facing Account Management role in an agency setting
You're ready to own the quality of output on an account and have a solid understanding of social-first delivery across strategy, creative, media and management
You understand the principles of mega project and client management, and have experience developing these capabilities in others
You've got experience running accounts commercially: scoping, resourcing, reporting
You have a proven track record of retaining, developing and growing client accounts
You're a natural relationship builder who's passionate about client experience
You're a brilliant communicator, spoken, written, and in the room
Experience with global brands is a big plus; employer branding experience is a bonus but not essential
You're excited by the idea of being part of something new and you bring the energy to match
What you'll be like
You're a doer and a leader. You rally the team, set clear expectations and aren't afraid to get your hands dirty. Even when you don't have all the answers, you know how to connect and direct people to find them.
You're creatively passionate. You believe in the power of strong creative and you fight for great ideas. You create space for new ones to flourish, all in service of changing the way people think about work.
You love the detail, but also have a vision. You're as invested in a deck looking beautiful as you are in thinking months ahead. You stay positive and keep morale high while foreseeing and mitigating problems.
You're comfortable on the front line. Relationship building, internally and externally, is the core of this role. You're confident dealing with all types of people and thrive on the trust that comes from building great client partnerships.
You're commercially savvy. You agree clear scopes of work, keep projects profitable, and always have an eye on the next opportunity. Clients love your clarity.
