We are looking for a Payroll Analyst to join our client in downtown Chicago. This is a hybrid contract, with potential to transition to a permanent position based on performance and business needs.
Must-Have:
Qualifications3–5 years of hands-on payroll experience 1–2 recent years of hands-on Workday experience Experience with Workday Payroll or payroll-related processes Excellent Excel skills, including: Pivot Tables / Pivot Charts VLOOKUP Data analysis and reconciliationStrong attention to detail and ability to work with large amounts of payroll data Ability to analyze discrepancies, identify issues, and support accurate payroll processing and reporting Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentNice-to-Have ExperiencePayroll processing and reconciliation Payroll reporting and variance analysis Workday Time Tracking, Benefits, or Compensation Accounting or Finance experience Multi-state payroll Payroll-to-GL reconciliation SOX, audit, or internal controls experience Experience working with HR, Payroll, Finance, and Accounting teamsPosition DetailsLocation: Downtown Chicago Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week Type: Contract with potential for contract-to-hire Experience: 3–5 years payroll + 1–2 recent years Workday
