Compliance Attorney

Key Responsibilities: Analyze, review, and annotate legal documents and compliance materials for AI system development. Write detailed explanations, rationales, and responses to complex compliance scenarios for machine-learning datasets. Evaluate AI-generated legal outputs for accuracy, logic, clarity, precision, and alignment with U.S. compliance standards. Work remotely with project leads and technical specialists on nuanced compliance and regulatory questions. Create scenario-based compliance law questions and answers reflecting current trends and challenges. Identify ambiguities and potential legal risks in AI outputs, and recommend improvements. Provide feedback that supports ongoing refinement of AI training protocols.

Qualifications: Juris Doctor degree from an accredited U.S. law school and an active attorney license in good standing. 3 to 10+ years of recent, substantive compliance law practice experience in the United States. Current U.S.-based compliance law practitioner. Strong compliance law expertise, legal-document analysis, legal writing, regulatory research, and knowledge of U.S. law. Excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail, critical thinking, and ability to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely. Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote setting. Judicial clerkship experience is preferred. Experience teaching law or legal writing at an accredited law school is a plus. Legal-journal editorial experience during law school is highly valued. Work Terms Independent contractor engagement. Remote role open only to candidates based in the United States. Selected candidates should be prepared to begin their first tasks within 24 to 48 hours after completing onboarding. Minimum weekly task-submission requirements apply. Compensation $100 to $170 per hour. Compensation is output-based and paid per task that meets project specifications. Completion time may vary based on the expert''s experience and workflow.
