LocumJobsOnline is working with Adelphi Locums to find a qualified Obstetrics and Gynecology MD in Socorro, New Mexico, 87801!JOB QUICK FACTS- Specialty: OB/GYN (Physicians)- Job Type: Locum Tenens- Facility Location: Socorro NM 8- Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient- Reason For Coverage: Supplemental- Coverage Period: 10/2/2026 – 11/30/2026- Coverage Type: Clinical + Call- Shifts needed to be filled:- 10/2 @ 7pm – 10/5 @ 8am- 10/8 @ 8am – 10/10 @ 8am- 10/19 @ 8am – 10/21 @ 8am- 10/26 @ 6am – 10/27 @ 8am- 10/30 @ 8am – 11/2 @ 8am- 11/6 @ 8am – 11/6 @ 7pm- 11/10 @ 6am – 11/11 @ 8am- 11/12 @ 8am – 11/13 @ 7pm- 11/15 @ 6am – 11/17 @ 8am- 11/19 @ 8am – 11/20 @ 8am- 11/21 @ 8am – 11/24 @ 8am- 11/25 @ 8am – 11/30 @ 8amShift Schedule: Clinic Mon–Fri 8a–5pCall Schedule: On call while working in clinic 8a–5p; Night call 5p–8a; Weekend call Fri 5p – Mon 8a Call Type: Night + Weekend call Patient Volume: 8–10 deliveries per month; fewer than 15 patients per day in clinic Physician in Practice: 2 OBGYNsSupport Staff: RN, MA, C-section assist when on call Specialty Backup:** N/ACase Mix: C-section rate 21%; occasional high-risk but mostly low-risk Procedures:- Labor & Delivery: Low-risk pregnancy (pre-existing problems, history of twins, toxemia, pyelonephritis, hyperemesis); FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE); OB ultrasounds (Level I/screening, Level II/targeted); routine delivery (vaginal, low forceps, C-section decision-making); complicated delivery (C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions); repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations- Gynecology: Surgical gynecology (D&C, hysterectomy, uterine suspension, anterior/posterior repair, tumor resection, incontinence/infertility procedures, bowel injury repair, appendectomy); laparoscopic diagnostic/minor (tubal ligation, LOA's, chromal tubation); operative/major (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's)
