Staff Software Engineer|| Python, Agentic AI & Event Driven Architectures | New York
Albert Bow have partnered with an AI platform, that are transforming how investment professionals work! Their clients span private equity, investment banking, private credit, and alternative asset management. They've built an "intelligent deal workspace" that helps dealmakers accelerate sourcing, due diligence, portfolio monitoring, and investor relations through agentic AI.
What you'll do:
Own architecture and technical direction in your focus area across multiple teams
Build production systems where agents reason, retrieve, use tools and recover from failure
Set up evals, tracing and observability to measure quality, reliability, latency and cost
Decide where model behavior ends and deterministic logic or human review begins
Mentor senior engineers and stay hands-on in the highest-impact work
What You Bring:
Track record leading complex technical work across teams
Deep backend, distributed systems and fault tolerance experience
Strong Python, plus TypeScript, Java, Go, Kotlin or Rust
Production LLM applications: tool calling, RAG, embeddings, vector search or context management
Strong grounding in permissions, multi-tenant data, access control and secrets management
Distributed systems & multi-threading knowledge strong experience with event driven architectures, Rabbit MQ, Kafka, Pub Sub.
Problem-solving ability and collaborative mindset in a fast-paced environment
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid — 3 days/week in office)
