A well-established regional bank is looking to add a VP Credit Underwriter to its growing C&I team. This is a hands-on opportunity focused primarily on commercial credit underwriting and portfolio management, working closely with relationship managers and senior credit leadership across a diverse portfolio of C&I borrowers. This is an ideal opportunity for a commercial credit professional looking to join a collaborative team with strong visibility and the ability to make an impact on credit decisions and portfolio quality.
Responsibilities:
Underwriting and management of a portfolio of C&I credits generally ranging from $30 to $50MM+.Lead underwriting for new money requests, annual reviews, renewals, revolvers, extensions, and modifications.
Analyze borrower financials, cash flow, projections, collateral, guarantor support, and overall credit quality.
Partner closely with Relationship Managers on deal structuring, credit recommendations, and ongoing client relationships.
Prepare comprehensive credit analyses and loan packages for senior credit leadership and credit committee review.
Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in commercial credit underwriting, portfolio management, or commercial banking.
Strong background in C&I and commercial lending.
Experience with new money underwriting, annual reviews, renewals, and revolving credit facilities.
Experience underwriting commercial transactions generally in the $30MM–$50MM range preferred.
Strong financial statement, cash flow, and credit analysis skills.
Experience with nCino strongly preferred.
