Job Description:
The Garage Door Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the proper installation, maintenance, and repair of garage doors for both residential and commercial properties. Working primarily independently with remote oversight within a large team environment, this position requires technical skill, safety awareness, and excellent customer interaction. The technician is responsible for installation projects, comprehensive service tasks, and occasional emergency call-outs to address urgent issues and maintain client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:- Install garage doors and new builds at residential and commercial properties* Perform maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal operation and safety* Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues with garage door systems* Interact professionally with customers to understand and address their needs* Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards* Replace parts and components as necessary to maintain and upgrade garage doors* Respond to occasional emergency call-outs to resolve urgent issues promptly
Preferred Qualifications:- Entry-level experience in garage door repair* High school diploma or equivalent* Knowledge of garage door installation and mechanical repair* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills* Customer service experience and effective communication skills* Proficiency in tool handling and safe work practices
