The Opportunity: Monetate helps enterprise retailers, financial services firms, and consumer brands turn customer data into more relevant experiences and stronger business results. Our portfolio spans personalization, experimentation, and customer data and activation. Find out more about this role by reading the information below, then apply to be considered. We’re looking for an excellent writer and resourceful product marketer to own how we explain our products, differentiate ourselves, and help our sales team win. You will help shape how we position Monetate and Simon, individually and together, so buyers understand the value of each and when the combination makes sense. You will report directly to the CEO and work closely with leaders across sales, product, marketing, and customer success. The CEO will provide business context, priorities, and feedback; you will own the day-to-day plan. You should be comfortable turning a broad objective into a recommendation, gathering the right input, and delivering without a detailed assignment for every step.
What You’ll Do: Own the message: define our buyers, the problems we solve, the outcomes we support, and the reasons to choose us. Keep the company story and individual product stories clear and consistent. Write the work yourself: create website and product copy, sales presentations, one-pagers, comparison pages, campaign content, white papers, and executive posts. Prioritize what will be most useful to buyers and sellers. Build customer proof: interview customers and colleagues, capture practical use cases, and develop customer stories supported by verified results. Enable the field: maintain our value framework, discovery questions, talk tracks, objection handling, battlecards, and training. Work with the solutions team on demonstrations built around customer problems and outcomes. Support launches and expansion: lead messaging and sales readiness for priority releases. Give teams a clear story for new capabilities, cross-selling, and customer expansion. Understand the market: listen to sales calls, examine wins and losses, interview customers, and track competitors. Support analyst and partner briefings, and bring useful feedback to product and commercial leaders. Test and improve: use campaign results, website conversion, sales feedback, and opportunity data to assess which messages work. Keep approved materials current and teams aligned when messaging changes. Own your priorities and delivery: maintain a focused work plan, manage deadlines, resolve routine questions, and keep stakeholders informed. Bring recommendations and trade-offs, not just requests for direction.
How This Role Is Different: This is a hands-on role with no direct reports initially. You will develop and write the work yourself, collaborating with colleagues and specialist contractors where needed. It is not a role built around briefing an agency or waiting for other people to define the assignment. You will have access to the CEO and executive team, but not daily task-by-task direction. We need someone who can make sensible decisions, get input from busy colleagues, and keep important work moving. Knowing when to ask a question or raise a concern is part of that independence.
Why Monetate: You will work close to company strategy, product decisions, enterprise sales, and customer conversations. Your work will be used in real opportunities, and you will see how strong positioning and clear communication influence commercial decisions.
Product & Commercial Understanding: You will learn our products, customers, and Command of the Message-style value framework alongside our commercial teams, so you understand the conversations and buying decisions your work needs to support.
Growth & Executive Exposure: This is a significant opportunity for someone ready to take on more responsibility. You will have direct executive exposure and room to expand your scope as you demonstrate results. Strong performance can lead to promotion and broader product marketing leadership as the business evolves.
The Rest: Meaningful ownership: clear responsibility for work that matters to customers, sellers, and the business. A collaborative culture: direct communication, mutual respect, constructive disagreement, and dependable follow-through.
Compensation: a base salary of $100,000–$140,000, plus an annual performance bonus and benefits. Learn more: /careers.
What We Are Looking For: We are looking for someone with the judgment, ambition, and follow-through to make the most of this opportunity. Hungry and driven: you take initiative, care about doing excellent work, and actively seek greater responsibility. Independent and accountable: you turn an unclear starting point into a practical plan, make progress without repeated prompting, and take responsibility for the result. A writer first: you explain complex ideas plainly, distinguish meaningful claims from vague promises, and rewrite until the work is right. Curious and commercially minded: you want to understand how customers operate, why buyers choose one vendor over another, and what helps a deal move forward. Open to feedback: you seek useful criticism, act on it, and change your approach when the evidence warrants it. Team-first: you are proactive and respectful, can challenge an idea constructively, and help colleagues succeed.
Qualifications: RequiredAt least three years in B2B SaaS product marketing, or a closely related role with meaningful responsibility for positioning, messaging, and sales content. Excellent writing and editing, with work that demonstrates your ability to explain complex products and make a persuasive, accurate argument. A track record of taking projects from an unclear starting point through to completion with limited day-to-day direction. Experience working closely with sales, product, and customer-facing teams, with an understanding of how enterprise buyers evaluate software. Comfort interpreting campaign and sales data, recognizing the limits of the evidence, and turning feedback into a decision. Strong organization, stakeholder management, and the ability to make sensible trade-offs across competing priorities. Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time, including occasional international travel.
Preferred: Experience in martech, ecommerce, customer data, analytics, personalization, experimentation, or customer data platforms. Experience with product launches, competitive positioning, customer interviews, and sales enablement. Familiarity with HubSpot, the Snowflake partner ecosystem, or analyst relations with firms such as Gartner and Forrester.
What Success Looks Like: First 30 days: learn our products and buyers, review existing materials, spend time with sales and customer success, and recommend a focused set of priorities while making useful early improvements. By 60 days: deliver priority messaging and sales materials, work with sellers to put them into use, and establish a practical way to collect customer proof and market feedback. By 90 days: independently manage your work plan, maintain a consistent set of core materials, and use feedback and performance data to recommend what comes next. Performance will be assessed on the quality and usefulness of your work, adoption by our commercial teams, reliable execution, and contribution to agreed marketing and sales outcomes.
Location: Anywhere in the United States (remote). Expect approximately 10% travel, including visits to our offices in Plano, Texas, and Utrecht, the Netherlands. xhqgsiq Monetate, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
