Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) – La Jolla, CAA healthcare organization is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a progressive acute care environment. Responsibilities:- Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions throughout hospitalization
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed
- Monitor patient progress and recognize changes requiring prompt intervention
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Educate patients and family members regarding treatment plans, medications, and recovery expectations
- Promote patient safety and adherence to evidence-based nursing practices
- Assist with discharge planning and continuity of care initiatives
- Provide compassionate support to patients and families throughout the care journey
- Care for patients requiring advanced monitoring and specialized medical management
Qualifications:- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred or required based on role
- Previous acute care, progressive care, or stepdown nursing experience preferred
- Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
