Building: Owen Heart Center (Heart Tower) General Information Tell us about the unit(s):Number of Beds - 40 Type of staff:o Day Shift - 1 Charge Nurse/ 10 staff/bedside nurses/4 PCTs/1 Unit Secretaryo Night Shift - 1 Charge Nurse/10 staff/bedside nurses/3 PCTsPatient Ratios -1:4; stretch staffing at 1:5 ratio Type of patients: patients with CHF, MI, CP, arrhythmia, Pulmonary Hypertension; valvular disease, endocarditis; DKA; post cardiac cath/stent; post pacer/ICD/ ablation. Type of equipment: Zoll, Baxter pump, lift equipments, bladder scanner; EMR - CernerSkill Set Most recruited for: Must have Stepdown or progressive care experience Telemetry experience Experience with titratable or cardiac IV medications like nitroglycerine, Cardizem, amiodarone, dopamine, dobutrex, insulin drip, heparin, bumex/Lasix; etc. Preferred or nice to have Experience with prostacyclins (Flolan, Veletri, Remodulin).Relief charge experience List typical procedures performed on unit(s):Bedside Cardioversion Best personality Fit: Flexible, positive attitude, great team player, compassionateREQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:BLS, ACLSFloating Area(s):All MedSurg units, Stepdown units, COVID unit, and ER holding.
