Position Overview:
Sitution Room Studios (SRS), the podcasting division of Global Situation Room, is looking for a smart, creative, and entrepreneurial Producer & Client Manager to help manage and produce our growing slate of podcasts. This is a hands-on role that combines client management, project management, and podcast production. The Producer & Client Manager will serve as a day-to-day lead for SRS clients, managing relationships, expectations, schedules, and deliverables while also playing an active role in producing and editing our shows. The ideal candidate is an experienced client manager and natural problem-solver who is also a strong, hands-on producer and editor. They should have excellent editorial instincts, understand what makes news and a great story, and be equally comfortable leading a client call, managing a production schedule, booking a high-profile guest, or editing an episode for publication. The position is based in the Washington, D.C. area and requires in-person attendance at least three days per week in our Alexandria, Virginia office.

Serve as a day-to-day lead for SRS clients, managing relationships, expectations, schedules, approvals, and deliverables.

Coordinate recording and guest logistics, including scheduling, travel when necessary, and production deadlines.
Edit audio and video for full podcast episodes as well as clips, shorts, and other digital and social content.
Publish and distribute episodes across podcast and video platforms, including Megaphone and YouTube.
Identify the strongest moments from episodes and develop clips, copy, imagery, and other content to promote shows and grow audiences.
Track audience, engagement, and growth metrics and identify opportunities to expand the reach and impact of SRS shows.
Help produce live recordings, events, and other special programming.
May include travel and weekend/evening hours.
