Job Description:
Dog Den Chicago is a family owned dog facility in Forest Park. We’re looking for a dependable, attentive person who enjoys working with dogs and helping create a safe, clean, and enriching environment. This is an active, hands on job that involves plenty of cleaning along with supervising dogs and caring for our boarding guests.
Schedule:
We’re hiring for our weekday closing shift, with full-time or part-time options. All weekday closing shifts end at 7 PM. We’ll agree on a consistent start time between 11 AM and 2 PM based on your availability. Weekend positions are also available. We’re open to hiring separate people for weekday and weekend coverage.
Responsibilities:- Supervise dog playgroups and monitor interactions to keep dogs safe
- Guide dogs through structured activities and rest periods
- Follow handling procedures and recognize signs of stress, discomfort, or overstimulation
- Feed dogs, provide fresh water, and care for boarding guests
- Clean and sanitize playrooms, boarding areas, feeding supplies, and equipment
- Complete laundry, yard cleanup, and other daily cleaning tasks
- Follow all safety procedures, including securing doors and gates
- Communicate clearly with teammates and report concerns promptly
- Assist with check-ins, check-outs, and client updates as needed
Qualifications:- Dependable, punctual, and attentive to detail
- Comfortable working around dogs of all sizes and energy levels
- Willing to clean thoroughly and follow established routines
- Able to stay active throughout a shift and work indoors and outdoors
- Comfortable following instructions and working as part of a team
- Previous experience in dog daycare, boarding, training, or other animal care is a plus, but is not required
