Cylindrical OD Grinding Machinist

That’s the rhythm you’ll own as our Cylindrical OD Grinding Machinist—turning high‑quality components into finished parts that meet exacting standards.

Role type: Temp to Hire

Set up and run OD/cylindrical grinders from start to finish Grind outside diameters to print, holding tight tolerances consistently Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions with GD&TSelect and dress grinding wheels to match material and finish requirements Establish machine speeds, feeds, and parameters for optimal results Measure with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and related inspection tools Perform in‑process checks and final inspections to verify dimensions and finish Tweak offsets and make adjustments to maintain part quality and throughput Document quality results and follow company quality practices Keep the workstation clean, organized, and safe Adhere to all safety rules and procedures What you bring 3+ years of hands‑on OD/cylindrical grinding experience preferred Solid command of grinding methods and general machining fundamentals Fluency reading blueprints and GD&TComfort working to tight tolerances and precision finishes Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, and precision gauges Strong attention to detail with a quality‑first mindset Ability to troubleshoot routine grinder and process issues Self‑directed and capable of working with minimal supervision How to move forward Bring your precision mindset and craftsmanship to a team that values both.
