Glossy Finish is the place for you. We are a youth sports photography company that "Captures Moments and Creates Memories" for players and families alike. We offer digital packages and physical prints, depending on the event, that players and parents get to take home with them. We are looking for high energy, friendly, motivated sales people to take team photos, secure registrations, assist with orders, and provide excellent customer service. Starting pay is $20/hour based on experience + sale bonuses and travel accommodations + growth opportunities. This is one hybrid role, not two jobs. Instead of a photographer photographing a team and a separate sales person selling to it, one team member does both for every team they're assigned. We are not asking you to photograph action. We are asking to go to the field to photograph the team individually as if they were coming to a studio. You will go from team to team and then on to the next field. You report to the Manager or Assistant Manager running the event. This is a sales job first: about 70% of the role is sales and 30% is photography. The photo gets you to the team; the sale is the job. Sales side (70%)Sell to every team you photographed once their sample is printed. Show every family their team's photos and sell on the spot through the mobile payment app. Share all the product offerings with every family. This is critical: a family can't buy what they never saw. Pricing changes by event, so know that event's prices and deals before your first round. Managers running the event will have team meetings to inform everyone of these. Families who don't buy on the spot get subscribed so they can order online later or after the event. Your sales drive the crew's average player value, which decides the team bonus for everyone. Photography side (30%)Photograph every team assigned to you each round, tethered to an iPhone with Templified Tether. It’s our app we created and will train you on. Approve each shot as you take it, or reject and rephotograph. Arrive at the game 30 minutes or more before it starts, and coordinate with the coaches to get the team photo on the field. Follow the posing and lighting SOPs so every shot is clean. Each team takes 2–3 minutes; it's very fast-paced. One team, start to finish The same person carries each team through every step: Assigned: The team shows up in your assignments for the round. Photograph: You photograph the team tethered to your iPhone, approving each image as you go. Photos go straight into Templified, with no card pull or upload. Taken: You mark the team Taken in the app. Sample printed: A remote editor builds the team photo, and the on-site manager prints a sample. Shown and sold: You show the team's families their photos and take orders on the spot. You mark the team Shown. Follow-up: Families who don't buy are subscribed so they can order online later. If you couldn't get to the team, mark it Not Shown so it's reassigned to their next game. What good looks like Volume: About 30–35+ teams photographed and shown per team member at an event. (Events are typically 2 days. Weekends only) Sales per player: The crew is measured on average player value (event revenue ÷ players photographed), and that number drives the team bonus. Nothing left behind: Every assigned team is either shown or handed off to their next game. Work environment Events are mostly outdoors at sports fields, in heat, cold, or rain. You're on your feet all day, walking between fields and games. Days are fast-paced and busy; plan for water, sun protection, and comfortable shoes.
