Concrete Batch Plant Operator - Full Time

Job DescriptionResponsibilities: Responsible for processing and handling ordersEnsure proper directions are acquired from customer and relayed to driverEnsure that drivers are in line to be loaded in the proper orderEnsure quality of mixes and report quality control problems to Plant Manager or Assistant Plant Manager (if Plant Manager not available) Responsible for maintaining customer relationships (including quality customer service and proper handling of customer complaints) Correspond with office concerning proper customer account numbersReport driver and/or customer related problems to Plant Manager or Assistant Plant Manager (if Plant Manager not available) Maintain cement and flyash inventoryResponsible for keeping bins topped off and materials pushed up in the pits when necessaryInspect plant every day and report problems to Plant ManagerNotify Plant Manager or Assistant Plant Manager (if Plant Manager not available) immediately of any vehicle accidents, safety violations, or job-related injuriesMaintain appearance of batch officeOther duties as assigned by Plant Manager or Assistant Plant ManagerRequirements / QualificationsPrior experience in concrete batching, ready-mix, construction, or a related industrial field preferred (not required) Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot or recognize equipment issuesBasic computer skills required (ability to learn and operate computerized batching systems) Strong customer service and communication skills requiredStrong attention to detail and ability to follow mix specifications accuratelyPrior leadership or supervisory experience is a plusBasic math and problem-solving skillsReliable attendance and strong work ethicAbility to work early mornings, extended shifts, and overtimeDisclaimer: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
