Purchasing / Procurement StaffA Japanese company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing / Procurement Staff to join their Product Department. This role will primarily focus on product procurement, vendor negotiations, and coordination with manufacturers in Japan. The ideal candidate is familiar with Japanese products and possesses basic PC skills. Candidates who are eager to build their career and gain professional experience in the U.S. are highly welcome. Experience working with cosmetics or daily commodities within a manufacturer or retail environment is highly welcomed.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle product procurement and inventory control processes, including placing orders with manufacturers in Japan.
Develop and implement comprehensive sales planning, promotional strategies, and product-level analysis to guide business decisions.
Negotiate effectively with manufacturers and vendors regarding product selection, pricing, and advance payment processes.
Evaluate and determine new products to be introduced to the market.
Manage purchasing data and create business documents/tables using Excel and PowerPoint.
Provide sales support and other related operational duties within the department as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bilingual in Japanese and English (Ability to converse, read, and write in Japanese for business communication with Japan).Basic PC skills (Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for creating tables and using basic functions; advanced skills not required).Familiarity with Japanese products (e.g., cosmetics, daily commodities).Valid U.S. Driver's License. Flexibility to attend evening meetings with vendors in Japan when necessary. Must possess permanent legal work authorization in the U.S. for the long term (No visa sponsorship available).Experience working in cosmetics or daily commodities at a manufacturer or retail store is a strong plus.
