Behavioral Health Registered Nurse – Clearwater, FLA leading healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) Charge Nurse to join its Behavioral Health team. This full-time leadership role offers the opportunity to provide exceptional patient care while supporting staff development and promoting clinical excellence in an acute care environment.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct nursing care and oversee the delivery of care for behavioral health patients using the nursing process and established clinical standards
- Utilize effective leadership and managerial skills to coordinate daily patient care activities and unit operations
- Serve as a professional role model and clinical resource for nursing team members
- Promote safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered care practices
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Support staff development, education, and professional growth initiatives
- Facilitate communication and share organizational information with team members
- Demonstrate professional accountability and commitment to continuous improvement
- Foster a positive, collaborative environment focused on quality care and patient safety
Qualifications:- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required, or an approved psychiatric nursing certification obtained within seven months of hire
- Minimum of two years of Registered Nurse experience in an acute care setting required
- Previous leadership experience preferred
- Nursing specialty certification preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Must meet all applicable background screening requirements
