Job Description:
The A-Class mechanic performs General Fleet Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance, including but not limited to the list below. They must be self-motivated, able to work on their own and interact and communicate professionally with other mechanics, drivers as well as transportation management. The shift for this role will be 2nd or 3rd shift potentially. Candidates must be available 7 days a week. This role takes place at 8350 Scudder, Kinloch, MO 63140.
Essential Job Responsibilities:- Engine. Electrical, Air and Brake Diagnostics and repairs.
- Familiar with Diagnostic software for Engine, Cab and ABS systems. I.E. Bendix, Wabco, Diagnostic Link 8, NEDMajor and minor component replacements.
- Suspension and wheel end maintenance.
- Hot work, including welding and cutting ability.
- All B and C-class work.
- Preventive maintenance of tractor, trailer and refrigeration equipment in accordance with FHWA standards.
- Tire and wheel replacement. (Mounted program).Housekeeping and policing of work areas.
- Safety culture and habits.
- Possess or able to obtain a Class B CDL, (Class A preferred) Must be able to perform Pick up and Delivery of equipment and parts as needed.
- Must have all necessary tooling to perform most repairs major shop tooling provided within reason.
- All Phases of trailer repair.
- Maintenance, Diagnostic and repair of Refrigeration units.608/609 certification for refrigerant repairs preferred.

- Additional Requirements Internal Candidates:
- Store/Facility Teammates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred.
- Store Support Center Teammates: minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred.
- Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline).If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.
