Research Fellow - Allergy and Immunology - Jerschow lab

Research Fellow PositionThe laboratory of Dr. Elina Jerschow in the Division of Allergic Diseases at Mayo Clinic is seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow to join our translational research program in allergy and immunology. The successful candidate should have strong hands-on experience and demonstrated proficiency in flow cytometry, including multicolor flow cytometry, sample preparation, staining, data acquisition, and analysis. Experience with human translational research or wet-lab studies using human biospecimens would be an advantage but is not required. Candidates with strong flow cytometry and immunology experience from other experimental systems are encouraged to apply. Additional experience with cellular and molecular immunology techniques is beneficial. A Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic is a temporary position intended to provide training and education in research. Individuals will train in the research program of a Mayo Clinic principal investigator. Qualified individuals will demonstrate the potential for research as evidenced by their training and peer-reviewed publications and should become competitive for national research grants. Proof of English proficiency is required for J-1 Short-Term Scholars, Research Scholars, Professors, Specialists, and Student Interns sponsored by Mayo Clinic. Must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a field deemed relevant to the research program. Demonstrated proficiency and hands-on experience in flow cytometry is required. Experience in immunology and/or human translational research is beneficial but not required. The Research Fellow position is appropriate for individuals who have completed no more than one prior postdoctoral fellowship, at Mayo Clinic or elsewhere. Compensation Detail $67,282 - $78,711 / year; Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
